On Monday, 6th of October, players, and guests of the FIDE Grand Prix enjoyed the first free day and some of them decided to follow the agenda kindly proposed by the organizers. All participants took a touristic train, which drove them to one of the best restaurants of Baku next to Baku Crystal Hall. Everyone could enjoy wonderful mix of Azeri food and great hospitality, while looking at the sea view and a future playing venue of the World Chess Olympiad 2016, which previously hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Fabiano Caruana, Boris Gelfand and Sergey Karjakin preferred to come back to the hotel right after the launch while the others decided to attend an excursion to the Old City of Baku.
